Noreena Coyle
Noreena Coyle is a Embedded Patient Researcher on the MAintAin Activity in Arthritis programme. Noreena was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis in 2017. This lead her to become interested in volunteering with Arthritis Ireland on their national helpline and the Patient Referral Programme, with which she has been involved since 2020. Previously, she has almost twenty years of experience working within the healthcare sector as a healthcare assistant and as a Basic Life Support Instructor within hospital and nursing home settings.
She is a graduate member of the Psychological Society of Ireland and currently studying for a master’s degree in Psychology and Well-Being at Dublin City University, having completed a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Psychology in May 2023, also at DCU. She is the student representative on the Universal Design for Learning Committee at DCU and a Disability Advisor Member for the DCU Students Union for the 22/23 academic year.
